I thought that the skaters in the street heats were really kool. Shane oneil, Ryan decenzo, Eli reed, Justin Brock, etc. But espn totally failed with their coverage. Cameras were always looking at shit that had nothing to do with the skaters run. I remember someone was doing some huge air in tranny, and at the exact moment, the camera changed view to someone doing a flatground kickflip. WTF. Pissed me off.
And sometimes Tony hawk and the other announcer wouldn’t call tricks out right hahah.
And the format( 2 fall, 45 sec runs) were stupid.

I was super happy when they dropped flatland Bmx from the X games. The x lames is all marketing bullshit and hyper. The good thing is it’s introduced skating to billions of kids and some what legitimized the sport for parents. That’s why you see parents at skate parks not like it’s little league baseball. I miss the underground days when we were all lil street punks and hooligans.
I did enjoy big air contest though.
Burnquist and Jake brown were killing it. Really though, most of the people basically sucked this year. Nobody was landing anything. The ONLY person who tried something innovative was burnquist and the 900. He came close
im so mad i missed big air i was at soccer i dont even like the sport tht much but i cant quit i did watch street! ryan shecklers 360 out was cool i thought chaz ortiz did pretty good everyone seemed to fall alot
