Hmmm I heard the Burton bullet was good for learning. Look at size charts online and you get to pick if a lil shorter(easier turns, easier spins) or longer(more stable at speed)

Board, bindings, boots, pants, jacket, goggles, gloves

If you want something cheaper but still actually decent enough for somebody starting out, maybe get an airwalk board. I saw some today at playitagain for $100 for the deck, and a few different sizes.

    Haha
    Sounds like a solid plan

  7. njskatesnow says:

Dude try a rental before u spend a shitload of money on a board when u may not even like it

  8. zjwflippers says:

Prolly 159 cm ish ya u should get a rental first in case ya dont like it but who doesnt

  9. zjwflippers says:

  10. fmuthskater says:

  11. burtonboardergirl19 says:

Get a nice burton like a 2009 or 2008 model so it will be cheaper, orbuy one in the spring.

  12. zjwflippers says:

Sierrasnowboards.com puts all their boards 50% off come april and they have a huge selection i got a 330$ board for 165$ idk about begginer boards on that site but its worth a look-see

    Go to a local shop

  14. zjwflippers says:

No local shops r expensive just get boots there bcause they all fit differetly

  15. twaun says:

    Shut up flipperdicks!!
Goto yur dang local shop..if you support then they will support you.
    Fuck zumiez!

  16. twaun says:

I was the same size at yur age..I rode a directional 157 fer learning and then like two years after I got a 150 twin and it made everything seen so much easier and the proggression increased dramatically.!lol

  17. twaun says:

So I’m saying learn yur shits on a big board first cuz the little boards are hard to learn on cuz there not so stable but once you get yur legs that doesn’t really matter.

  18. ericcc96 says:

i did kinda what twaun did but i rode a 155 when i was 5′4″ and im riding one now and im 5′8″

  19. ericcc96 says:

    im riding a 155 now i mean.

  20. zjwflippers says:

Twaundicks shut the fuck up my dad works 3 jobs so we can snowboard im gonna support myself before my board shop

  21. twaun says:

I guess if yur parents are buying it then you really don’t have a choice.

  22. ericcc96 says:

    hahaa. lol.

  23. bruekiller says:

Fuck zumiez. If there was one here I would burn it down. That place ruins skateboarding and it ruins snowboarding too.

Local shop ftw. Even if it costs a bit more, it’s so worth it to become a part of your local scene

  24. bruekiller says:

And I’m the one buying all my skating shit, not my parents.

  25. fmuthskater says:

Dude if I had a local shop i would work there and NO WHERE ELSE
I would put an application in evry other day

  26. bruekiller says:

My local shop owner can’t afford to pay employees. So it’s just him working.

  27. fmuthskater says:

If it’s tht small then I would just chill with the guy if he cool and all
    I wouldn’t care haha
I’ll go up to Burger King (I work there) wen i’m nt doin jack shit and chillax with the closers there

  28. zjwflippers says:

Nah i love local shops and i buy most of my gear there but i get a snow board 4 my bday every year from online it saves me 200$ a year

  29. wvuchik24 says:

Rent first to see if you like it and wat size to get. Some places have profirmance rentals where you pay to rent the board and if you like it you can buy it, if not you only pay rental. That’s how I got one of my burtons really cheap
